How do we enroll our children in Sanskrit Courses?
If you have a child of age 6-15 years, you can enrol him/her for Balakendram Classes. Your child will progress from Level 1 through to Level 3. Classes start in February after the School term resume after Holidays. Level 1 classes are held online using Zoom, every week on Thursdays between 5-6 PM. WHAT COURSES ARE SUITABLE FOR YOUNG ADULTS, ADULTS & SENIORS?
Youths, Adults & Seniors can join Shibiram Classes where they learn to converse in Sanskrit. Shibiram is held over 10 consecutive days once in March and once in October.Classes are held online using Zoom between 7:30-9:00 PM.Click to see more details and register for Shibiram

What topics are covered in various courses?
Children learn learn to speak words, sentences, chant Shlokas and listen to Stories in Samskritam during Balakendram classes.
In Shibiram classes, youths, adults and Seniors can learn how to use verbs in various tenses and moods and form sentences using various Vibhakti's.
Pravesha is the starting point of learning Sanskrit Grammar in an enjoyable way along with Shlokas, Subhashitams, Riddles etc.,
After completing Pravesha, students can progress on to Parichaya, Shiksha and Kovida in that order.

Are the classes face to face or online?
Currently the classes are held online using Zoom. There are plans to conduct face-to-face classes in the future.
What are the fees charged for the courses?
Shibirams classes are free. Fees for Balakendram classes are 30 AUD per child per term. For Pravesha, Parichaya, Shiksha and Kovida courses the fees are 65 AUD. Fees covers text book and exam registration fees. Our Volunteer teachers donate their time.
I would like to attend courses and learn samskritam but i don't want to write the exams. is that possible?
Sure. You can start at Pravesha classes and go up to Kovida level but if you decide to take the exam at a later stage, you need to ensure that you have passed all the lower levels before taking a higher level exam. Only Pravesha does not have any pre-requisites.
I just want to be able to understand shlokas and their meanings etc.,. I really don't want to go through all the grammar stuff. Are there any short courses just for this purpose?
Samskrit Shlokas can be properly understood only with the right study of Sanskrit grammar. There is no short cut. Samskrita Bharati courses are well designed for this purpose. Right from the first level, there are topics to slowly introduce the learner for interpreting and understanding Samskrit Verses.
I attended Pravesha/parichaya/shiksha/kovida classes but could not continue due to personal reasons. can i re-enrol in the new term?
Yes. You can re-enrol.You may be required to pay a reduced fee.
How frequently are shibiram classes held?
Shibiram classes are usually held twice year. Once in March and once in September. Additional classes may be scheduled if there is a demand.
Should i pay the fees immediately after registration or wait for a confirmation from sba?
Fees need to be paid straight after registration using Bank Transfer. If you have some concerns, you can always raise them using the "Contact Us" form.
How do I purchase books for the course i registered?
Cost of the Text Book is included in the course fees. It will be mailed to you closer to the course start date. you cannot buy the book separately.
I am not a resident of australia.can i enrol for your courses?
We endeavour to serve Students who are Australian residents only.At the moment, we do not have capacity to open up to outside Australia.
